ARRI HMI M18 - 1800W

The ballast and spare lamp included in this rental package made setup smooth, and the light output on location was consistent all day. Really solid performer for a one-day shoot.

Pulling focus in tight spaces was a breeze since the ballast and lamp mount setup is incredibly compact for an 1800W fixture. The spare lamp saved our shoot when the first one flickered on hour three, so we just swapped and kept rolling.

Rented this for a night exterior and the spare lamp saved us when a bulb blew mid-scene — no downtime at all. The ballast is hefty but the output was perfectly steady, and the mount locked down solid on every stand we used.
