Rented this lens for a weekend shoot and the 82mm thread took my existing filters without any adapter fuss. The manual focus ring has a nice, firm resistance that makes dialing in at 5 meters feel deliberate and precise. Everything arrived in the pouch with both caps secured, ready to go.

The included front and rear caps made transport worry-free, and the lens hood kept flare under control even with harsh sidelight. Tack-sharp at f/8 for portraits, and the manual focus ring has just the right amount of resistance.

Manual focus is smooth and precise once you get the hang of it, and the minimum focus distance of 5 meters is perfect for my landscape work. The included front and rear caps and pouch made it feel like a complete package right out of the box.
