ZEISS CP2 25MM T2.9 EF (FF)

Rented this lens for a weekend shoot and the build quality really impressed me—solid metal housing that felt great on the gimbal. The T2.9 aperture gave clean low-light footage even with just a single practical. Only wish the focus ring had a bit more resistance, but it's smooth enough for a follow

The close focus on this CP2 is fantastic—got right up to a subject’s eyes at 26cm with no breathing issues. It’s heavy on the front, but the 114mm diameter handled fine on a shoulder rig for a full day of shooting.

Rented this for a handheld interview shoot and the 114mm front diameter balanced perfectly on my rig, no extra support needed. Sharp wide open at T2.9 and the clickless aperture ring made iris pulls feel buttery during takes.
