HASSELBLAD V DISTAGON 60MM CFI

I’m no expert with medium format, but this rental lens’s build quality is solid and the manual focus ring has just the right amount of resistance. Tack-sharp at f/8 for product shots; it paid for itself in one weekend.

Sharpness wide open is outstanding, even across the full frame. Rented this for a weekend architectural shoot and the color rendition on transparencies was noticeably richer than my usual glass. Only wish the minimum focus distance were a touch closer for detail work.

The focus ring on this rental 60mm CFI is buttery smooth, which made manual focusing a real pleasure during a portrait session. Sharpness wide open was exactly what I hoped for from a V-system lens, and the rental process was hassle-free from pickup to return.
