ARRI HMI M40 4000W

We needed a powerful light source for a large interior scene, and the setup with the ballast and lamp mount was delivered clean and ready to hook up. The output is incredibly smooth and consistent, and the color temperature held rock-solid through a three-hour shoot.

That 4000W ballast fired up instantly and held steady through a full day of exterior shooting. The lamp mounting bracket felt rock solid, even with the heavy head at odd angles. Really glad I rented this instead of a cheaper alternative.

The ballast and lamp mounting made setup surprisingly straightforward on a tight schedule, and the 4000W output held steady through a full day of shooting. It’s a workhorse that didn’t complain once, even under heavy use.
