MAMIYA RZ 50mm

Borrowed this for a weekend landscape shoot, and the sharpness right into the corners blew me away. The focus ring has just the right amount of dampening—smooth but not too loose. Only gripe is the weight, but for that image quality I’d lug it anywhere.

Rented this for a weekend shoot and it handled beautifully on the MAMIYA RZ body, the 50mm focal length gave me exactly the natural perspective I wanted. The rental condition was clean and everything felt solid, no issues with the aperture ring or focus throw.

The lens was incredibly sharp for portraits, and the rent was well worth it to test before buying. I appreciated how smoothly the aperture ring clicked into each stop.
