ARRI HMI M90 - 9000W

Pulled this for a two-day exterior shoot and the 9000W output cut through overcast conditions beautifully. The ballast setup was straightforward and we had consistent color temp the entire time. Saved us from having to supplement with smaller units.

Rented this for a three-day shoot and the 9000W output was relentless even through heavy overcast. The included ballast head kept everything stable, and the crew didn't have to fuss with it once.

The ballast fired up instantly every morning on a week-long rental, and the 9000W output was steady even during a long dusk exterior. The yoke and head felt solid enough that I didn't worry about it on a crank stand. It's a workhorse for big punch, exactly what you want when the sun drops.
