SONY FE 50mm f/1.2 GM

Rented this for a weekend shoot and the f/1.2 wide open is just dreamy—backgrounds melt away even in a cramped room. The minimum focus of 40cm let me get close enough for detail shots without swapping lenses, and it handled video work smoothly on my Sony body.

The close focus at 40cm really helped me get some great detail shots, and that f/1.2 aperture is ridiculously smooth. Had it for a rental weekend and it handled beautifully in low light.

Shot wide open at f/1.2 all evening and the background just melted away, with my subject's eyes still razor sharp. Close focus at 40cm let me grab a few detail shots I didn't plan for. The thing is heavy after a couple hours, but that's the trade-off I'll take every time.
